Turkey's benchmark stock index went up 1.08 percent to close at 114,821.60 points on Monday, with a total trading volume of 5.1 billion Turkish liras ($1.33 billion).
Borsa Istanbul's BIST 100 index rose 1,231.32 points, while the banking and holding sectors indices increased 1.94 percent and 1.61 percent, respectively.
Among all sector indices, sports sector index was the best performer -- gaining 2.84 percent, meanwhile mining sector index has seen the biggest fall -- down by 1.96 percent.
Turkey's benchmark stock index previously went down 0.59 percent to close at 113,590.27 points on Friday, with a total trading volume of 5.93 billion Turkish liras ($1.55 billion).
Shares of Turkish poultry and feed producer Banvit were the top gainers of the day, up 11.39 percent, while stocks of hypermarket chain Kipa suffered the most, falling 4.53 percent.
The top five most traded stocks were the national flag carrier Turkish Airlines, private lender Garanti, iron and steel producer Kardemir, investment trust Global Yatirim Holding and automotive manufacturer Karsan Otomotiv.
The U.S. dollar/Turkish lira exchange went down to 3.8080 as of 5 p.m. local time (1400GMT) on Monday, compared to Friday's close at 3.8180.
The euro/lira exchange rate also decreased to 4.6650 on Monday, from 4.6830 the previous close.
The BIST Gold Exchange index gained 0.08 percent in value, while the price of gold per kilogram reached to 161,500 Turkish liras (around $42,421) as of 5.20 p.m. local time (1420GMT), down from 161,950 liras at Friday's close.
As of 6.30 p.m. local time (1530GMT) Monday, the price of Brent oil was $63.37 per barrel, versus $63.62 at the previous close.
