– The Peoples’ Democratic Party (HDP) Parliament Group Deputy Chairman İdris Baluken slammed the airstrike operation against the ISIL (Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant) in Syria.
“The ISIL operation’s timing is suspect. The operation has aimed at sweeping away the national and international pressure stemming from the perception of ISIL, also hsa targeted to hinder Kurd’s gains from Rojava after the reunification of cantons in the region, and revive the debates on constructing a buffer zone” Baluken said.
“The ruling Justice and Development Party (AKP) aims at killing three birds with one stone with this operation. The AKP also attempts to stop the People’s Protection Units (YPG) from seizing Jarabulus” Bulken added, declaring his doubts over the operation’s sincerity.
“If the AKP is sincere in his intentions, it should, firstly target the sleeper cells, which can seek for a massacre in the country” urged İdris Baluken, highlighting that people should act with deliberation regarding the AKP’s operation.
