- Lufthansa Airlines Turkey General Manager Stefan Löcherbach announced that the strike of pilots that has started today could partially affect the Turkey flights.
Having made a press statement at Ataturk Airport in Istanbul, Löcherbach told that the short and long-haul flights would be involved in the strike and some flights departing from Turkey could be cancelled.
The strike declared by German pilots union has cancelled half of the long-haul flights on Sep. 8, according to Lufthansa Turkey official. Löcherbach announced that the strike would continue tomorrow on Sep. 9, and a reliable schedule will be on the officials’ hands on Wednesday Sep. 10.
“We will inform out passengers by calls and SMS, and rearrange the schedule of flights” added Löcherbach.
