Those Who Control The Frontier Zone Should Fight Isıl: U.s. Ambassador

- U.S. Ambassador to Turkey John Bass gave a reception at his own residence as part of July 4th Independence Day celebrations.

Having hosted a large number of guests, the reception held by Ambassador Bass and his wife Holly Hozer Bass started with national anthems of Turkey and the U.S., sang by Soprano Angela Ahıska.

In his reception speech, U.S. Ambassador to Turkey also referred to the threat of Islamic State of Iraq and the Levant (ISIL) in the region, urging that those who have the control in the frontier zone should prevent ISIL’s aims to seize control in the area.

“Within mutual efforts, with members of the coalition forces as well, we are working together against the ISIL threat. A crucial point that we regard is that those who control the frontier region should primarily fight ISIL, and prevent its seize of control on the region”

Referring to the general elections, “As citizen of Turkey, on June 7th you have also demonstrated your commitment to the rule of law and democracy in the country. We are looking forward to working with 25th term of the Republic of Turkey and its next government” said Ambassador John Bass.
