Export Prices On The Rise After A Decline

– Exportation prices showed a recent uptrend in August after a fall in July, according to data released by Turkstat.

Non-domestic producer price index (ND-PPI) that measures the alteration in the price of goods manufactured in the country and exported in a certain period, rose by 4.69 percent on monthly basis. The index had rose perpetually until July, after having declined to its lowest level in January, and it has slightly fell in July.

The ND-PPI rose by 12.92 percent in August against December, and rose by 12.20 percent against last year’s same month, while it saw an increase of 5.31 percent according to twelve months moving averages basis, in August 2015.

The rise in two sectors of industry were by 4.74 percent in the index for mining and stone quarrying, and by 4.69 percent in the index for manufacturing.

Meanwhile, the highest rates of monthly increase in ND-PPI were with 7.15 percent in paper and paper products, with 7.04 percent for motor vehicles, trailers and semi-trailers, and with 6.18 percent for other transport equipment.

Accordingly, the highest rates of monthly fall in ND-PPI, by sub divisions of industry, were in coke and refined petroleum products with 3.51 percent.

The highest monthly surge was in capital goods, according to main industrial groupings classification (MIGs), and the annual increase was recorded in endurable consumer goods.
