- In Datça district of Aegean resort province of Muğla, a boat has sunk and left 22 migrants including four children and 11 women have drowned, said officials.
After the first inspections recording a death toll of 13, nine other lifeless bodies were recently pulled off the water, leaving 22 killed. Some 211 migrants were rescued by the security teams.
The group was in attempt to leave Körmen region in Datça to cross into Greek island of Kos around 06.00 a.m. on Sep. 15, in a 20-meters-long wooden boat.
Rescue works continue in the region. Also, ongoing works continue to pull out the boat thas has capsized and beach it to the shore.
