- The huge demand for life vests and dinghies has led to a sales boom, as number of migrants flocking to the Europe from Asian, Middle Eastern and African countries through Turkey grows.
Sales have spiked on internet too, along with stores, as ads of these products costing thousands of liras mostly read "sold" on online shopping websites .
Among the dinghies, with costs reaching 5,000 liras, most of the models have run short. Prices of these products range from 1,500 liras to 5.000 liras, depending on its capacity and durableness.
The most favoured product of migrants are the dinghies with wooden or aluminium base, in which human traffickers claim to carry 10-12 people even if it has capacity for only four people.
Another product swept by migrants are life vests ranging from 15 to 90 dollars. Regarding the high number and variety of models of the product, a sales boom marked the market.
More than 10 thousands of people seeking to refuge have been flocking to Greek Islands crossing through the Aegean Sea, amid record surge of refugees under death risk in Aegean and Mediterean seas.
